Guyanese United is hosting a privately funded ”Get out the Youth Vote” barbecue on Sunday, March 1, 2020, at Denis Street in Georgetown (next to the Love & Faith Church). We anticipate more than 2,000 youth (18+). The event is dedicated to getting young people engaged in voting. This is not a political rally. The program will feature games, musical entertainment and guest speakers. The event will begin at 1 pm.
We have been able to secure funding from a number of private citizens to purchase food. We are seeking donations, both monetary and in-kind to support the event.
